Call for Focus Group Participants
Do you live with disability or have a family member living with disability? Do you want to take part in a 90 minute focus group, for which you would receive a $60 gift card as a thank you?
The Australian Government is running a Royal Commission to find out about violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation against people living with disability. Purple Orange has been asked to do some research to support the Royal Commission’s work.
The project is all about language. The Royal Commission wants to find out how people living with disability understand and talk about violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation. What do these terms mean? Would you use different words to talk about these issues?
Purple Orange is running focus groups in Adelaide, Mount Gambier and Kadina during January and February 2020 to explore these topics. We will keep the conversation general and will not discuss people’s personal experiences. You do not need to have experienced violence, abuse, neglect or exploitation to take part. We can cover your travel costs to attend a focus group such as local taxi fares.
If you would like to be part of a focus group, please register online at https://www.eventbrite.com.au/o/jfa-purple-orange-8525954816.
